Who rules the House?

There is only one Lord.

Jesus is still the centre of it all.

Jesus is the main focus.

Who is glorified in our words?

Who is glorified in our plans?

Who is glorified in our criticism?

Who is glorified in our publications?

"So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter." (Isaiah 59:14)

You worry me o house of Israel. You leave my heart in dismay o sons of Jacob. Will you not try to decipher? will you no longer take a step back to discern? Have you fallen off course? Have you been so enticed?

The vision is made plain, his goal laid bare... Will you not see it? Or has your gaze been darkened? See!

The goal is clear:

" In the last days

the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established

as the highest of the mountains;

it will be exalted above the hills,

and peoples will stream to it.

Many nations will come and say,

“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,

to the temple of the God of Jacob.

He will teach us his ways,

so that we may walk in his paths.”

The law will go out from Zion,

the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

He will judge between many peoples

and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide.

They will beat their swords into plowshares

and their spears into pruning hooks.

Nation will not take up sword against nation,

nor will they train for war anymore.." Micah 4:2 KJV

Teach his ways, walk in his paths. Preach the gospel and send His word!

Is Jesus still our focus? Does He fill his house? 'surely the Body cannot be deceived by the conniving of our adversary?' Surely? Surely, oh House of God?

Be it known to you all that God has made this Jesus both Lord and Messiah!

But everyone seeks prominence.  Seeking points to gain favour with (whoever they see as) the ruling power. With power jostling, lies rule.

But prayer is my backbone. Prayer is not a chore or of just one type, talking to the Lord is my constant solace even when all that can be whispered is "Jesus help!".

"Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." John15:15. The Lord is a friend, a strength forevermore.

The arrows have been many, the thorns piercing but the Lord is a succour.  He will "rescue my soul from their destructions, my precious soul from the lions." Psalm 35:17. Only...

"Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive the reward a prophet gets,...'' Matthew 10:41

There is the place of the elders, the place of the prophets, the place of evangelists etc., then the place of God. All have their boundaries. Our God is boundless.

There is the place of the Scribes, the place of the teachers, the place for discernment. All should keep within their boundaries.

There is the place of the children, the place for the under-shepherds and the place for our Lord. The Church is the bride of Christ.

Our job is to see him honoured and glorified as his Word is lifted up. Amen.

No one should go beyond that which is written. [1 Corinthians 4:5-7] Jesus is Lord.

But "...justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter." (Isaiah 59:14)

Selah

.

It was with Joy I listened intently at the Billy Graham crusade preparation meeting yesterday. I was so filled with anticipation and hope for the move of God's spirit but whether this radiated as I thanked one of the officials after the meeting or not, I am not sure. But why should that matter?

In human power and recognition instead of Jesus and his Truth, lies reign. The focus is diverted, My heart aches. Why you elders of Christ's flock? Why? Why go beyond what is written?

.

Despite all, listening on Sunday and yesterday to the many works the Lord has done and has planned in the UK and around the world through churches and ministries shows that truly the river of living water is flowing by his spirit. There is a real reason to rejoice! Our God watches over his word to perform it. He is not finished with us. The great Shepherd of the sheep will gather his flock and with his loyal Elders, lead them to pasture.. Hallelujah!

The Lord comes.

Amen.

''But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.'' 2 Corinthians 3: 16 -17

''Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.'' Revelation 3:20

....

Jesus at the center of it all

Jesus at the center of it all

From beginning to the end

It will always be, it's always been You

Jesus, Jesus

Nothing else matters

Nothing in this world will do

'Cause Jesus You're the center

Everything revolves around You

Jesus You

At the center of it all

At the center of it all

Jesus be the center of my life

Jesus be the center of my life

From beginning to the end

It will always be, it's always been You

Jesus, Jesus

Nothing else matters

Nothing in this world will do

'Cause Jesus You're the center

Everything revolves around You

Jesus You

From my heart to the Heavens

Jesus be the center

It's all about You

Yes it's all about You

Jesus be the center of Your church

Jesus be the center of Your church

And every knee will bow

And every tongue shall confess You

Jesus, Jesus

Jesus, Jesus

Jesus, Jesus

Jesus, Jesus

From my heart to the Heavens

Jesus be the center

It's all about You

Yes it's all about You

It's all about You, all about You, Jesus
