Can you sense the mercy and massive outpouring of God's grace on His church to reach this world at this time? Can you hear the cry of his heart? There is grace for every soul! It's been here for some time; will we take advantage of it?
“Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare
Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
. Isaiah 55: 1-2,6-7.
This is the earnest cry of the Lord TODAY!
Many have taken upon themselves the responsibility for this cry of the Lord they hear in their spirits. They are unstoppable proclaimers of his grace. Others have embarked on a reachout missions to fill the land with the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters cover the sea.
If the Lord can use a donkey (Numbers 22:22 -31), he can use any human and anything yielded to him. There are millions to reach and the time is short.
Our God (YHWH) has reached many generations by scrolls and books (e.g. the Bible), so he is still in the job of using any available media - word of mouth, printed or digital.
I am not exempt in his call and neither are you.
Jesus said through his word:
" Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
No one is exempt.
We must collaborate. He is counting on us. Eternal issues are much bigger and more important than any earth limited issue. Collaborate by sponsoring churches, ministers, outreach ministries or bible distribution outlets financially or by giving labour individually or corporately. Churches can sponsor churches, ministries can give labour, skill or knowledge. We also participate by praying or sowing positive publicity. In fact, just not saying detrimental words about what any arm of Jesus' body is doing to expand the kingdom (and prepare this world for his coming), is something commendable. As the Lord Jesus said, "for whoever is not against us is for us." Mark 9:40 . Your win is my win.
Please make no mistake about it: the time is very short and Jesus is coming soon for his own. This world, as we know it, will soon pass away.
It is easy to get carried away with the everyday issues that we forget that our life and time here is given to us to determine how our individual eternity will be like. We determine where we will spend eternity and our rewards.
''If I preach voluntarily, I have a reward; if not voluntarily, I am simply discharging the trust committed to me.'' 1 Corinthians 9:17
Please let us not lose focus on eternity. As the Master said:
"As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come." Matthew 24:38 - 42
This is what I woke up to this morning - a strong sense of urgency in my spirit. He is driving us to do more, speak more of his life, be more for the sake of this world and his Church - which he purchased with his own blood. The time is very, very short.
The rivers of living waters will flow and fill the land with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the Lord has said. The Father's desire that the gospel be preached to the whole world and Christ's prayer that we be one will be fulfilled.
The Bride (followers of Jesus) will grow in maturity and be made ready to hear his call. The question is what will be your reward for being part of this move of the Holy Spirit?
Will we focus and run the race? for the kingdom?
"If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.." 2 Corinthians 5:13-15 NIV
"For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again." 2 Corinthians 5:13-15 KJV
