Your greatest strength is your greatest weakness.
-our power of choice; your knowledge; your ability to love and desire to connect people and communities. Your revelation of faith, kindness to nurture, raise or help the less fortunate; your commitment to God's written word, passion and drive for evangelisation of your world, commercial prowess for kingdom expansion, ability to translate faith into accessible music/ entertainment or inspiring worship through media etc...
.
The presence of the tree of knowledge of good and evil represented the Human's power of choice. The choice to depend on the Lord or not was his. Free will was his greatest asset but also his greatest vulnerability.
Jesus revelation of his Father's (God) word concerning him was his greatest strength but was his weakest spot, if any. He could have turned the stones into bread, after all he WAS the son of God. The power and choice was his, the ability was his and based on the written word. BUT he chose submission, which is dependency on Yahweh, in his decisions. This in fact, was his ultimate strength and exultation. (Philippians 2:9-11)
.
Your given or attained ability/authority/strength/ talent/gift/ influence/ opportunity/experience/resource is also your greatest vulnerability. Church, to rely on you as an individual or kingdom-centred assembly/institution/business is to be vulnerable to the Adversary. Our call is to rely on Jesus not on our strengths. Our call is to go back to him even when the answer is known because the obvious is not always the way, the truth or the life: Jesus is.
HE is our daily guide, ability and defence.

"Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to." Acts 16:6-7 NIV
But the Lord said, “My grace is all you need. Only when you are weak can everything be done completely by my power.” So I will gladly boast about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can stay in me. 2 Cor 12:9 ERV
