It is quiet, isn’t it? He speaks 'still' within my soul—[That is the truth].
As the word flows, peace flows i.e., in the rivers of living waters, and the Prince of Peace is exalted. Jesus our Lord said to the Israelites that when he is lifted up (crucified), he will draw all men to himself [John 12:32].
(You say what rivers? Look!)
From his crucifixion and resurrection, the spirit of Jesus has been drawing all people to himself through every means possible. (This work is Spiritual, Be still and see)
Hebrews 1:1-3 reads in the NIV:
‘’In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.’’
While our Father- YHWH, still speaks to us via his prophets even today, everything he needs to say comes from Jesus ‘whom he appointed heir of all things’.
The Spirit of Jesus is moving, speaking and drawing all hearts to himself. You might see failures, but I truly see His progress. The Word of God is growing in influence in our world, His name is coming into pre-eminence in everyday affairs and His life is taking over. Amen.
Know this: The words of YHWH stand for all eternity and this very force which upholds (i.e., sustains, carries, maintains, bears) all the universe and any prophecy (inspired word) that has gone out never fails.
‘’The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” Isaiah 40:8
I see the word and work of the Lord flowing. Its ebbs initially gentle but ever so slightly increasing in flow and strength - carried by the Holy Spirit in every turn. A peace-filled river of life, growing in force as it moves through, overcoming every upheaval and obstacle.
This is His river, flowing unendingly from the mountain of God:
‘’In the last days
the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.
2 Many nations will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.’’ Amen (Micah 4:1-2)
Lift your eyes and see. You CAN see! See with the eyes of your sanctified spirit.
Incline your ear and hear: pay attention to his word only.
Be still and know that he is God, listen and you will hear Him in the quietness of your heart speaking Triumph and Life to and through His Church.
