Leadership in times of Crisis

The topic above was one of the three suggested to me by AI. I was not going to use it since I generally prefer to go by my own inspiration, but it seemed apt after the article was written. Not all unrest is a sign of bad leadership; some are necessary in order to make way for a greater good.

There is only one reason for all the seeming unrest the body of Christ has faced in recent times: it is to be prepared and fortified for what is to come.

"that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain." Hebrews 12:26-27

Those are YHWH's words as quoted by the Apostle Paul from Haggai 2:6.

When reading about the building of the Second Temple, we have to be aware that the main players - Zerubbabel, Joshua the high priest, and all the men with them - and the construction process were "symbolic of things to come." It all points to the coming Messiah Jesus, known as the Branch of Jesse (Zechariah 3:8, Isaiah 4). It points to his first and second coming.

The first time Jesus came, he preached that the Kingdom of God is among you and he immersed his followers in the Holy Spirit, giving birth to a new people who worship God in Spirit and Truth. It was the consummation of a new covenant for a spiritual Kingdom: a people from among all nations of the world reborn with a new heart and a new spirit but still living in this present fallen world [Luke 17:20-22]. The second time he (Jesus) comes, it will be to establish that Kingdom and it's citizens (serving as king-priests) on the earth.[Revelation 20:6]

However, to prepare the way for the new coming kingdom of God on earth, everything that is not of eternal value [from God's perspective] will be shaken from the existing skies and earth in other to make way for things of eternal value. This shaking will first be a spiritual shaking - starting in the family of God on earth [the Universal Church]. From among us mindsets, attitudes, priorities, possessions and purposes that do not align with YHWH will be brought out and purged by the Lord himself. This is the period Prophet Daniel spoke off:

"Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time." Daniel 11:25

"Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand." Daniel 12:10

It is happening now to individuals, groups, and Christ's whole body and will continue till only the things that can stand in the pure fire of his presence remain. Only these form his unshakable Kingdom.

"Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;" Hebrews 12:28 NASB

The coming of the Lord Jesus is imminent. The leadership of the purifying word of God is the soap that removes impurities to reveal that eternal beauty of a recreated human soul. The job of a leader in God's house is to recognise the work of God and give place for the spirit and word of God to have effect in every part of God's house and work. It cannot be achieved by human effort. It is God's own work. Expose the Lords people to the pure truth of the scriptures where the Lord himself can work his wonders in our souls.

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

"You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you." John 15:3

"But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him." 2 Peter 3:13-15
