There IS a point to all this talk about Jesus. Honestly, there is a point!
When we carry out activities even if they are religious, ''holy'' ones, if you do not get the point, it becomes just another pointless human exercise.
What is the point? The point is that God will have a race of terrestrial beings who are like him in every way (as his children) but can wisely care for all his creations. From the beginning, that was the end goal. And this has never changed.
So anything he says, does or writes to us (in the Bible/Torah) is geared towards this goal. He allows us CHOICE and may be very hurt by our wrong decisions, but He is never steered off course from his goal. He will have a universe ruled by human beings willingly working in union with himself to innovate and maintain a universal 'paradise' for all his creation.
After the first humans (Adam and Eve) made a mess of things by choosing wrong, it didn't stop him did it?
After He, with a very heavy heart, had to destroy all mankind to cleanse the earth from man's pollution, he spared and continued with Noah and his family didn't he?
Afterwards, he chose a man called Abraham and this one agreed to believe and cooperate, but his descendants (the Israelites) were riddled with sin and failures! Despite this, YHWH never gave up on his goal. He still was able from that flawed line, to raise up a new Adam - Jesus the Messiah - who was of them but would make the CHOICE to participate in his plan.
This JESUS accomplished what no other man before him could: He obeyed YHWH, maintained his commitment to their union and paved the way for ALL of the other human race to get back with YHWH's plan willingly.
So now all around the world are humans who by the power of Jesus, are willingly in union with the God of all creation and are learning his ways!
How wonderful is that! YHWH never gives up and his kids don't either!
The beauty is that the story is far from ending, actually, it really is just beginning. There is an eternity of life to be lived. An eternity filled with innovation, order, beauty, and what we Christians call 'Glory'. The purpose of God begins after this race of his children has been well-schooled on this earth to take over the rule of the new heaven and earth in union with their loving and 'proud' dad.
In the same way, he accomplished the feat of having a race of humans who would willingly CHOOSE him, he will help us remain in him to be the pillars of his universe. He is more than able.

[Genesis 3, Genesis 6:7-9, Romans 4:3 John 10:16-18]
'' ...from Jesus Christ. Jesus is the faithful witness. He is first among all who will be raised from death. He is the ruler of the kings of the earth.
Jesus is the one who loves us and has made us free from our sins with his blood sacrifice. He made us his kingdom and priests who serve God his Father. To Jesus be glory and power forever and ever! Amen.''Revelation 1:5-7 NIV
'Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared. Now there was no sea. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It was prepared like a bride dressed for her husband.
I heard a loud voice from the throne. It said, “Now God’s home is with people. He will live with them. They will be his people. God himself will be with them and will be their God.'' Revelation 21:1-3
“I am coming soon. Hold on to the faith you have, so that no one can take away your crown.'' Revelation 3:11
