His vision or yours?

Ever so often, I get an email invitation to join in the vision of some organisation. It's not a bad thing. In fact, the reason all are able to be sons of God today is because YHWH gave one man a vision -

''Then the word of the Lord came to him (Abram): “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.” He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

And this man believed.

''Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.'' Genesis 15:4-6

and the result,

''And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.'' Hebrews 11:12

However, the great thing was that this vision of all men becoming sons of Abraham was not just an in-the-moment vision cooked up to make childless Abram happy; it was in fact, an important part of YHWH's plan to execute his eternal vision of 'one family under God'. YHWH's purpose in creating Adam - the first human- from the beginning was not going to be thwarted. Now through Abraham's belief and trust in God's vision, all the 'seed of Abraham' -by Jesus the Messiah - from the whole world are now the family of YHWH by that same trust in God's vision.

''Understand, then, that those who have faith (trust)are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.”[ So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.] Galatians 3:7-9

God's vision is still alive today. And it still requires people who will (just as Abraham did), buy into it. Will you exault YHWH's vision above your own to see all nations (of people) become part of God's family and Kingdom?

Prayer is often seen by A-type individuals as a weak comparison to other activities. Hard work is necessary however, prayer is not a weak comparison to hard work.

Prayer brings the divine ability of God into play in the physical world. It achieves more than any human power or effort can achieve. Mere men have achieved more than humanly possible by it:

''Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.''James 5:16-18 NIV

Can you set aside the 31st of March to pray for your country and the nations of the world?

Let's create the atmosphere to achieve what no man can achieve: The KNOWLEDGE of the glory of God covering the earth as the waters cover the sea! If Elijah could do it, any of us that come to YHWH (by Jesus the Messiah) can! ........

And the great part is our prayers don't have to be spectacular, they just have to be honest and heartfelt!

PRAY FOR THE NATIONS ON 31st MARCH.
