So God created humans in his own image. He created them to be like himself. He created them male and female. God blessed them and said to them, “Have many children. Fill the earth and take control of it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the air. Rule over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:27-28 ERV So, the human was created in the image and likeness of God? Hmmm What, then, is God like?
....... ..... God's striking description of himself in Exodus 3:14 sets the tone for our understanding of the type of mold mankind was cast from.... God said to Moses, “ I AM WHO I AM . This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘ I AM has sent me to you.’ ” I AM connotes an ever-present, indomitable, Eternal one , in whom and for whom all things exist- HE is the template for the human spirit! Humans were created indomitable after God and despite the decay brought by the introduction of sin by Adam, the human spirit still holds that attribute. It can overcome any adversity, surmount any challenge and solve any physical problem. It is a creative spirit in the shadow of the character of God in that, it can bring into existence what does not yet exist. It is a force of nature - the most powerful force on earth under God. In Genesis 11:5-6 the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. Then he said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. God our creator knows that there is actually nothing we want to be or do that we cannot by determination, a can-do attitude and a unified spirit. Even the LORD Jesus said, “...Yes! I tell you that if you have trust as tiny as a mustard seed, you will be able to say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there!’ and it will move; indeed, nothing will be impossible for you!” Matthew17:20 CJB . It is also important to realize that when the Jesus said this to his disciples he had not died or paid the price for man's sin! The question therefore is not possibility - because nothing is impossible to the human spirit except God intervenes (Mark 9:23); The question rather is: 1. Do you really want to do it? 2. Does God permit you to do it? Conviction, i.e fixated will, is vital. If there is no commitment to fulfilling your dream, chances of it ever being achieved are almost non- existent. God persuades, equips, encourages and directs but he will never force us to do anything. This is because our human will is a resultant attribute from being made in God's image.
GOD owns choice. We have a choice. We have been gifted choice, dominion and authority- gifts of God's attributes He does not take back. God in his wisdom has chosen to honour his word. Psalm138:2 KJV ; Rom11:29 So dream. What is that idea is in your spirit? Is it good for man, the earth and creation in general? Can you see it? If you can see it, then you CAN achieve it irrespective of any odds stacked against you. Though we do have an adversary who has committed himself to putting obstacles in our way, Jesus has declared that Nothing but you and God can stop you! And God will not stop you if you are not in opposition to his word; So go for it! Follow that dream, Fight for it! It will become clearer with time and prayer. Launch out. You are INDOMITABLE.
