So God created humans in his own image. He created them to be like himself. He created them male and female." Genesis 1:27 ERV God's heart is unveiled in the bible; and what a BEAUTIFUL heart it is! His purpose for man is simply revealed in this verse and verse 26: Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, in the likeness of ourselves; and let them rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the animals, and over all the earth, and over every crawling creature that crawls on the earth.” Genesis 1:26 CJB Now we know God is not physical he is Spirit (John 4:24) and therefore the likeness in which he created man was spiritual as well as moral. Man's spirit was created to have God's nature, character and authority. He was designed as a mini representation of a loving, holy, all-powerful God and clothed in flesh so all could see him. Just like a well brought up child is a reflection of the virtues of his father, Mankind was to be God's offspring. Though this desire was not fulfilled in Adam (our first human representative) because he sinned, it HAS now been fulfilled in Jesus Christ (our second human representative)! By Jesus paying the price for Adam's sin, and therefore ours, we who accept the price paid for us are now the fulfillment of God's desire - we are God's kids! The nature and character of God is reborn in our recreated human spirits! Now God can be seen! His goodness can be felt in his power; His purity can be experienced in his righteousness ; His love can be known in it's entirety - by all of creation! Romans 8:1-22 We have been empowered. It is now our love responsibility to fulfill our daddy's heart: that He- the unseen God - will be known by all of his creation through his children. Col 3:9-10 Because to see God, is to love God. To love God is to want God. To want God is to have God! ...our beautiful heavenly father.
